BIRTHDAY girl Coleen Rooney celebrated her 40th with music so loud it kept the local sheep and cows awake all night, The Sun on Sunday can reveal.
Neighbours likened the din to a live music gig and said they could hear the lyrics of party tunes — even with their windows and doors closed.
Yet they were full of forgiveness for the popular family who laid on a champagne and cocktails-fuelled bash which saw Coleen serenaded by Irish pop star Dermot Kennedy.
It is understood Coleen and footie ace Wayne, 40, enlisted Julie Perry, their wedding planner from 2008, to help organise the bash.
There seemed to be a lilac, pink and orange colour theme inside the balloon and flower-festooned birthday marquee in the 50-acre grounds of their £20million mansion in Marthall, Cheshire.
Coleen, stunning in a floor-length figure-hugging lilac dress, greeted their guests who included several other footballers and Wags.
Her sons Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, ten, and Cass, eight, also milled around.
The revellers danced beyond 1am yesterday to songs played by the DJ including Adele’s Rolling in the Deep and Outkast’s Hey Ya!
Wayne and Kai were snapped dancing together, watched by guest Michael Carrick, the Man Utd boss.
Coleen, who had singer James Bay perform at her 30th bash, hit the dance floor when his smash hit Hold Back the River came on.
The marquee was packed out when a deafening rendition of England’s footie anthem Sweet Caroline struck up.
One local said: “I was inside with the doors and windows shut and I could still hear the music.
“And not just the music, but it was loud enough that I could hear the words of every song and people singing and cheering.
“Still, it’s a one-off celebration and the Rooneys cause no trouble to anyone in the local area.
“They are well-liked and we enjoy having them as neighbours”.
Among Coleen’s pals at the party were Leanne Brown, star of reality TV series The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
She posted a video yesterday of singer Dermot performing Bee Gees song To Love Somebody and a snap of her and Coleen smiling for the camera.
Ex-Man Utd and England hero Rooney, dressed in black for the beano, was expected to grab the mic as he is a karaoke fan.
Another snap showed Leanne, fellow Wag Tanya Bardsley and Danielle Gibson, who is married to former Man Utd star Darron.
Other guests included Hayley Fletcher, wife of the club’s academy boss Darren, Annie Kilner and husband Kyle Walker and ex-Man Utd star Phil Jones and wife Kaya.
Prior to the party, Wayne posted snaps showing his relationship with Coleen, some taken during their time at school. Others showed them at an Oasis gig and at Wimbledon.
Wazza wrote: “Happy 40th Birthday to the best wife and mum we could wish for. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and love you all the world”.
Earlier on Friday a helicopter belonging to businessman and racing enthusiast John Reddington landed in the grounds. It is not known who was on board.
