SHOCK Question: Millionaire Contestant STUNNED as ‘Impossible’ Question Stops Game

Jeremy Clarkson is back to host a new episode of the game show and threatens to leave viewers at home stumped.

Tensions are set to run high on the latest episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, as another contestant will find themselves stumped by a high-stakes question on motorsports – can you figure it out before they do?

On Sunday’s episode (May 4) of the ITV quiz show, viewers will watch as Amy Heliwell prepares to be quizzed by Jeremy Clarkson.

According to the Sun, the tourism officer from Shroud will face a particularly stressful moment when she is asked a challenging question about the world-famous Paris-Dakar rally.

Clarkson asks the contest: “The motorsport event originally known as the Paris-Dakar Rally moved to which country in 2020?” The four options Heliwell has to choose from are: A) Argentina, B) Saudi Arabia, C) Portugal, D) Algeria

Amy admits she has a hunch, but when faced with losing £32,000 if she answers incorrectly, she is too worried to take a chance. The contestant has already used up two lifelines, but decides to throw her hat in the ring for one last attempt at being steered in the right direction and call her friend Lewis.

In an unexpected twist, her motorsport enthusiast friend is just as baffled by the question as she is. Sadly, this means their call leaves Amy no closer to the answer than before she rang him.

Amy’s final answer and whether she takes a gamble on her gut feeling or not remains to be seen, but viewers will have to tune in to ITV at 8pm tonight to find out.

This preview comes after fans were left confused when the quiz show stopped airing on March 23 midway through series 40. Show bosses took to Instagram when the series wrapped, announcing: “That’s it for tonight and the current series! Join us again, later in the year for more #WhoWantsToBeAMillionaire… Good night!”

What many viewers did not realise was the 40th season had been split into two parts. The first half aired from January 26 to the end of March. Meanwhile, the second half was slated to start being screened in May.

Amy’s stint on Who Wants to be a Millionaire will be part of the ITV show’s return to telly. A few days ago ahead of the game show’s return host Clarkson shared a glimpse of his April antics with fans, saying: “Just spent the last hour in the sunshine with some binoculars waiting for the return of the swifts, and listening to Dark Side of the Moon. I was quite literally kicking around on a piece of ground. Just not in Doncaster. Because I didn’t miss the starting gun.”
