British TV star Pete Wicks has proven that compassion knows no bounds after rescuing 170 dogs from a horrifying Korean meat farm. What started as a heart-wrenching rescue mission quickly turned into a powerful act of kindness, as Pete discovered starving and frightened animals, many too weak to stand, all suffering from a life of cruelty.
In an emotional and courageous move, Pete teamed up with an animal welfare team to shut down the meat farm and ensure every dog was rescued and relocated to safety. “Witnessing the horrors of a dog meat farm was one of the most emotional experiences of my life,” Pete shared. “I thought about how awful it would be for my dog, Eric, to endure even a single day there. Despite all they’ve been through, most of these dogs were so friendly—it broke my heart.”
Among the dogs, 13 particularly traumatized animals needed extra care, clinging to Pete throughout the rescue. Understanding their desperate need for love and comfort, Pete took all 13 dogs back to the UK, giving them a warm, nurturing home they’d never had. These once-terrified dogs are now living their best lives, enjoying warm beds, playful moments, and the gentle care they truly deserve.
