Apocalyptic sci-fi horror film The Divide revolves around the survivors of a nuclear attack who take refuge in a building’s basement but quickly start to turn on one another as supplies begin to dwindle.

Scoring just 26% on Rotten Tomatoes, The Divide also stars Michael Biehn, Lauren Christine German and Rosanna Arquette.

Moving onto one of Ventimiglia’s more light-hearted films is rom-com Second Act where he stars opposite Jennifer Lopez.

The 2018 film is about a woman with little to no qualifications, has a new fake resume created for her and lands a high-flying corporate job that she needs to try and live up to.

Second Act just scored below average with 44%.

The Art of Racing in the Rain

Also scoring 44% is drama The Art of Racing in the Rain which is told from the perspective of his owner Denny’s (Ventimiglia) golden retriever Enzo.

The synopsis reads: “Enzo learns that the methods used on the race track by his Formula One driver owner can also be used to navigate through life”.

Ventimiglia stars opposite Mamma Mia!’s Amanda Seyfried and Yellowstone star Kevin Costner as the voice of Enzo.

Heroes

Superhero fans will recall the noughties sci-fi drama Heroes where ordinary people develop superhuman abilities and “use their powers to prevent catastrophes and save humanity from destruction”.

Heroes also stars Hayden Panettiere, Landman’s Ali Larter, Zachary Quinto and Kristen Bell, just to name a few.

While the initial series of Heroes landed an impressive 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, the remaining three seasons scored far lower, landing the drama just 52%.

Opposite Sex

Ventimiglia isn’t the only familiar face in this teen comedy as it also features Captain America legend Chris Evans as well as One Tree Hill’s Lindsey McKeon.

Opposite Sex is about Jed Perry who moves to a new town and starts attending a school which used to be just for girls so he is only one of three boys there.

Opposite Sex has scored a respectable 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Rocky Balboa

Ventimiglia is part of the iconic Rocky franchise, starring in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa.

Earning 78% with fans, the film sees Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) come out of retirement to respond to a challenge from a reigning boxing champion.

Ventimiglia portrays Rocky’s son Robert “Rocky Jr” Balboa.

The Company You Keep

The Company You Keep may have run for just a single season on ABC but it proved popular with viewers who scored it 85%.

Starring alongside Catherine Haena Kim, Tim Chiou and Felisha Terrell, the synopsis reads: “A night of passion leads to love between con man Charlie and undercover CIA officer Emma, who are unknowingly on a collision course professionally.

“While Charlie ramps up the family business with sights set on getting out for good, Emma works to close in on the vengeful criminal who holds Charlie’s family debts in hand.”

American Dreams

Wholesome drama American Dreams, which has landed 85%, focusses on the Pryor family, taking a “nostalgic look back at American in the 1960s – Rock and roll, equal rights and war”.

Ventimiglia is introduced in the third season as Chris Pierce, the rebellious boyfriend of Meg Pryor (Brittany Snow ).

Gilmore Girls

Of course, no list of Milo Ventimiglia’s best work could be complete without the heartwarming small town drama Gilmore Girls.

Ventimiglia was behind Jess Mariano, Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) major love interest throughout as well as Luke Danes’ (Scott Patterson) rebellious nephew.

Unsurprisingly, Gilmore Girls has an impressive 87% Rotten Tomatoes score and is the star’s second highest ranked show.

This Is Us

Coming in at the number one spot with a near perfect 94% is none other than drama This Is Us.

Running for six seasons, the drama is told over two different timelines with the first looking back at Jack (Ventimiglia) and Rebecca Pearson’s (Mandy Moore) love story.

The second is set in the present day and looks at their three now grown-up children’s unique personal struggles at different intervals of their lives.
