LITTLE People, Big World star Amy Roloff has revealed her new gig away from reality TV.
After documenting her life for nearly two decades on the TLC series, Amy has resumed her former career in education.
On Friday, the TV personality shared a selfie on Instagram of herself smiling inside a classroom where she’s a substitute teacher.
Amy, 63, stood before a whiteboard, a large map, and other school supplies, wearing a blue-and-green floral shirt and black-rimmed eyeglasses.
She commemorated the final days of the school year in her caption, which read, “I can’t believe the school year is coming to an end already. I love subbing and grateful I can be in the classroom for the teacher.
“There are challenges in the classroom sometimes but I always have hope for these kids at the end of the day. Until next time . . . keep learning.”
Amy worked as a full-time preschool teacher in the early days of the show, which premiered in March 2006.
She later left to focus on raising her four children, the demands of her family’s farm, Roloff Farm, and the series’ filming schedule.
Amy revealed she’d returned to teaching in March 2024, telling her Instagram followers that she was “looking forward” to working with first graders.
Weeks later, it was reported that LPBW was canceled after 25 seasons, following the announcement by her son Zach and his wife Tori that they weren’t returning.
Tori also works as a preschool teacher at a Christian school near her family’s $1 million home in Battle Ground, Washington.
Like Amy, she had stepped away from the job while filming the show and having her three children, but returned last year.
The show’s ratings dropped catastrophically in the last few seasons after the storylines shifted to repeated family disputes and drama over the ownership of Roloff Farm.
Tensions were high when Amy’s ex-husband, Matt Roloff, turned down offers from his two eldest sons, Zach and Jeremy, to buy a portion of the farm and instead put it on the market.
The U.S. Sun exclusively reported in August that the Oregon property still hasn’t been sold, despite the price being slashed from $4 million to $2.9 million.
Matt’s then-fiancée, Caryn Chandler, was also considered to have played a part in the family’s rift due to her involvement in the farm’s sale.
The couple split last summer after eight years together.
Caryn blindsided the family by initiating the split after Matt dropped $1.4 million to build a dream home for the pair, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed.
While their split didn’t play out on TV, fans saw Matt’s marriage with Amy unravel during Season 15 of the long-running series.
Amy also remarried in front of the cameras in a two-hour TLC special, showing her wedding to Chris Marek on the family farm.
