CELEBRITY Traitors is officially underway with the cast spotted on set taking part in an explosive first task.
Stars such as Maya Jama, Amoj Rajan and Ross Kemp were seen searching for treasure on a Scottish loch as they got hands-on for the challenge.
The results of the first task are likely to heavily influence the rest of the game with Traitors challenges often offering up cash rewards for the final prize fund as well as a crucial shield which can protect Faithfuls from being murdered at night.
The stars all appeared to be getting stuck in as they were spotted aboard a pirate ship as well as being seen in and out of the loch and on the banking by the waters’ edge.
Love Island host Maya could be seen waist-deep at one point as she appeared to be investigating a wooden box by the edge of the pirate ship.
She was later joined by Coronation Street‘s Hayley Cropper star Julie Hesmondhalgh as they waded through the waters together and appeared to be working in tandem.
Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock was soon seen following them into the water along with EastEnders star Ross and University Challenge host Amol.
At one point, things seemed to take a dramatic turn with show host Claudia Winkleman forced to step in.
Dr Hannah Fry took a tumble as she made her way back onto the rocky edge of the water.
Claudia could be seen holding out a hand in an attempt to support Hannah as she began to fall with James Blunt and Michael Sheen also looking on.
As the cast of the programme got stuck into locating the treasure they needed, Claudia remained on land and could be seen excitedly cheering them on and informing them how much time they had left to complete the challenge.
The 21 stars were surrounded by a full filming crew to capture all of the action for the series which is expected to begin in early October.
The cast for the second series was confirmed on Saturday as the stars began touching down by private jet at Inverness Airport.
Filming then officially kicked off earlier this week with all of the glittering cast.
Other stars who will be hoping to follow in Alan Carr’s footsteps and win the show include comedy legend Miranda Hart and online creator King Kenny.
Actress Sharon Rooney is also among the cast as well as comedians and best pals, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett.
Joe Lycett is also on the line-up as is James Acaster.
