BRENTWOOD Town footballer Tom Stagg is set to score in the Love Island villa as their latest signing.
The lad, who counts a string of former Islanders as pals, is in advanced talks for the new series.
Tom runs an events company called Pascha House and is friends with the likes of Tyrique Hyde, Sammy Root, and Samantha Kenny.
He’s also got Harrison Solomon and Billy Brown among his followers.
But he’s big on the pitch, lifting the cup for Brentwood last month – and one of a number of footballers now linked to the new series.
Maya Jama launched the run with a football themed teaser trailer.
A source said: “Tom is in advanced talks to join the pool of Islanders to appear at some point in the series.
“As always, no one is officially on the show til they’re in the villa.
“But Tom makes the perfect Islander – he’s in great nick, got great chat, is fun and fit and bosses reckon the girls will love him.”
It comes after The Sun revealed Aidan Murphy was also set for the villa – and the hunky builder also plays ball.
A top Irish Gaelic footballer with a massive social media following has also been “shortlisted” for the new Love Island series.
Seán Fitzgerald, who plays in Galway, is now believed to be Mallorca villa-bound after SunSport confirmed he had “left the fold” ahead of the new football season.
Fans won’t have too much longer to wait with the summer series landing on screens on Monday 1 June.
