Gemma Collins has opened up about her decision to step in and protect Adam Thomas from David Haye’s harsh comments during the latest episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. Speaking candidly on I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked, Gemma revealed how she felt compelled to defend Adam after David called him “useless” for not wanting to participate in a trial due to feeling unwell.
The moment sparked outrage among fans, with many accusing David of bullying Adam in front of the camp. Gemma, always known for her gutsy personality, wasn’t afraid to step up and confront the situation, saying, “If it got too bad, I’d take David on myself.”
“I’m not afraid to step up,” Gemma explained, adding, “If I went full GC mode on David, it would’ve been a disaster, but I had to remain calm and just remember I’m here to be me.” She also admitted that David might have sensed a weakness in Adam, but she was determined not to let the bullying continue.
David’s comments left Adam feeling uncomfortable, but Gemma wasn’t about to let it slide. As she continued to share her take on the camp drama, she also praised the efforts of her fellow campmates, including Beverley Callard, who stepped in to ask David for a little empathy towards Adam.
The tension in the camp continued to build as Adam’s reluctance to participate in the trial led to more heated moments. Fans have been quick to express their support for Gemma, with many applauding her for standing up for Adam and taking a stand against bullying.
This dramatic moment comes just days after another incident in which Jimmy Bullard made explosive claims about the show’s behind-the-scenes drama.
