In a shocking turn of events, Little Mix star Jesy Nelson is facing even more emotional turmoil after her car, packed with crucial medical equipment for her twin daughters, was stolen. The 34-year-old singer, who has been tirelessly caring for her 11-month-old daughters, Ocean and Story, following their devastating diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA1), took to social media to plead for help.
The car, a black Defender, was stolen from her driveway in Brentwood, Essex, containing vital items she desperately needs to care for her girls. Jesy has now offered a £10,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the recovery of the vehicle and equipment. “My car got stolen off the driveway in the early hours of this morning, if anyone sees a black defender, reg plate JJ73SSY, please DM me or contact the police. I have so much of my girls’ hospital equipment in there that’s really needed,” she wrote on Instagram.

The heartbreaking incident comes after Jesy has already endured an emotional rollercoaster, navigating the intense challenges of SMA1. This rare and life-threatening condition affects the muscles, and the girls’ prognosis remains dire, with experts estimating a life expectancy of less than two years without urgent intervention. Despite this, Jesy remains a tireless advocate for SMA1 testing in newborns, pushing for the NHS to introduce screening to help prevent late diagnoses like her daughters’—a cause she continues to champion, despite the odds stacked against her family.
Fans and friends have rallied around Jesy, offering support during this incredibly difficult time. Her determination and resilience in the face of unimaginable challenges show her unwavering strength, both as a mother and an advocate. Through her pain and struggles, Jesy continues to fight for her daughters’ futures, and now, she needs our help.
Let’s stand together and help Jesy find her car and the medical equipment that’s vital for her daughters’ care.
