Kathy, from Liverpool, had been travelling from hospital in Candelaria back to her home on a bus.

Her son Gary Myers said she then “got off at the wrong stop”.

She then walked off alone and became unwell, according to her son, who confirmed that she was last spotted at 8pm.

“She had a brain tumour removed a few years ago, so has damage to her memory and is a vulnerable person”, he added, as fears grow for the missing mum.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and her phone has reportedly died.

Police have launched a manhunt for the missing person and her panicked son flew to Tenerife to help look for his mum.

Gary has urged the public to contact police if they see anyone who might be his missing mother.

Kathy lives in Tenerife with her husband Steve for 50 per cent of the year.
