The rugby star appeared on Tuesday’s episode of This Morning with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley as he opened up about his journey on the show so far.
Speaking about his co-stars, James, 41, expressed: “We’ve bonded really well and they are so nice, I love them.
“Especially Coleen Nolan, I’ve got a real crush on her as well. We’re not allowed to date the other celebs but I probably would’ve given her a spin.”
A shocked Cat asked: “Would you?” as she and Ben giggled at James’ confession.
Towards the end of the interview, Ben told James: “Well we’ve got a little surprise for you because the lady you’d like to take a spin on is here.”
Coleen, 61, then came bolting out of a side door as the pair shared a warm embrace.
He cheekily asked: “Do you wanna sit on my knee?,” as she laughed: “Not again.”
The pair continued their flirty exchange as James teased: “I had to honestly put multiple locks on the door, she was coming at me, tried climbing through the window.”
The Loose Women star shot back: “In his dreams.”
It comes after the dating experts slammed James for having “no chat” as he was rescued during an awkward mixer event with fellow singletons.
Dating gurus Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr. Tara sat at the back to watch the celebrities on a monitor with headphones.
James approached a woman named Scarlett and after speaking about jobs and children, he asked: “Have you got a party trick?”
She started laughing before exclaiming: “I am literally talentless.”
In the back, Dr. Tara savagely said: “Dude’s got no game,” as Anna echoed: “No chat. I think we’ve identified James’ problem.”
Anna added: “James is a good guy, but you know what? Is he playing at his peak performance – hell no! We need to call him out on this.”
She then took her headphones off as the pair headed into the mixer to confront James.
Anna warned: “We’re gonna be honest with you James, it’s not going great.”
Dr. Tara added: “Maybe it feels surface-y, a bit surface level.”
Anna admitted: “We want you to be a little bit earnest, so lean into more of being vulnerable.
“We know that vulnerability is quite hard for you, we don’t need you spilling your whole life story out but just start to find out a little bit more about them.”
Speaking in his interview confessional to camera, the dad-of-one expresses: “Yeah, not a great start. I’ve been told my chat is absolute s**t house, which is shocking to the very core as I thought I was doing alright.”
