Clarkson’s Farm star, Jeremy Clarkson, opened his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, in Oxfordshire in 2024 and has vowed only to serve British produce at the boozer
Jeremy Clarkson has relaxed the rules at his boozer due to huge customer demand. The Clarkson’s Farm star opened his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, in Oxfordshire in 2024 and vowed only to serve British produce, including several own-brand food and drink products.
Until recently, no wine has been available at the pub nestled in the leafy Cotswolds. However, Jezza, 66, has now introduced the pub’s own British wine range, thanks to “expert farming”.
“There was a time when English wine was like a childâs recorder playing; you wanted to like it, but it wasnât very good. Fortunately, that time has gone,â the pub said in a new statement.

“Thanks to warmer summers and expert farming, Britain grows excellent grapes and makes brilliant wine with them.”
Announcing the arrival of Knollbury Fort wine, it concluded: âOur own range of English wines, created to champion British farming and prove that this country now produces genuinely world-class wineâ.
It’s not the first time the former Top Gear host has done a U-turn at the pub. In 2025, Jeremy, who is hosting Farm-Fest this bank holiday weekend to “celebrate all things farming”, started offering ketchup at The Farmer’s Dog, despite previously banning the sauce staple.
Condimaniac ketchup, is made by Chatham-based producer using tomato passata from Isle of Wight, apple cider vinegar from Hants, Essex salt, and sugar and onions sourced from Britain.
âMaking a 100 per cent British ketchup after Jeremy Clarkson alerted us to the fact there wasnât one was very hard,â the companyâs boss Kier Kemp said in an Instagram video, announcing the ketchup’s creation.
âIt turned out to be really hard,â he added, noting Clarksonâs Diddly Squat team requested the sauce âas soon as possibleâ.
The introduction of ketchup at the pub was a big deal for Jeremy, who had previously put a sign up in the boozer, telling customers not to ask for the sauce, which has been smothered on chips in the UK for decades.
Speaking about the products on offer when the pub first opened its doors, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host, said: âThe menu changes â itâs whatever weâve got. Thereâs no Coca-Cola, no coffee. Other pubs do coffee. We do British food.
âEverything that you consume in here â every single thing â even the black pepper and the sugar, is grown by British farmers.â
The Farmer’s Dog pub is on sprawling grounds next to the Diddly Squat Farm.
The Mirror recently paid a visit to the accompanying shop in the Cotswolds, which sells everything from fresh produce, spirits, snacks, books, clothing, aftershave and the iconic ‘This smells like my b*****s’ candle…
